The hydrogenation liquid pumps of the 900,000 t/yr hydrogen peroxide unit at the Russian petrochemical complex were upgraded to manage liquids containing catalysts at 85°C and 40 bar. With 2205 duplex steel impellers and tandem mechanical seals, these pumps are designed for continuous operation in sour environments to maintain a stable flow rate in the phenol hydrogenation cycle.
